Saving so much time for myself and my teammates, I have been both maintaining and designing a system from scratch. 

My personal favourite! It is all about the small things and adding a microinteraction to an experience can light up a user's day, sometimes quite literally. 

The backbone of successful design is the strong concept that holds it together.  Things need to click together in a special way in order for an experience that is both visually appealing and user friendly to be born.
