Adding

Delight to the Interactions

And some magic...

Ta - da!

Details are everything.

Another thing I truly believe.

Details are everything.

Another thing I truly believe.

But first, let me tell you about my love for Splash Screens.

Splash. Splash. Splash.

You only get one chance to make the first impression, and I really believe in the power of first impressions. Splash screens while less complex and (arguably) important parts of the user flow in an application, they can bring immense delight.

Being physically removed from the user, splash screen can help make that dramatic entrance digitally.

Or perhaps less dramatic, depending on your brand personality of course.

In the last little while, I have been specifically focusing on learning and creating animations for interactions such as above but also much more...

Little Extras.

Details are everything.

Another thing I truly believe.

Enhancing user experience through satisfying interactions is my specialty.

The examples above are pretty basic and reflect small details that can make a big difference.

Interaction design however is often more conceptual for me and connects to strategy.

  • What is the message we are trying to communicate to the user?

  • What do we imagine their ideal experience to be?

Big Little Extras.

In this mockup, I brought together a lot of different interactive components. Some of them are directly responsible for major user flows (like navigation and search), others are subtly setting expectations.
